Prenatal Yoga: Listen to Your Body

Travel with Clara Roberts-Oss to Tofino, BC to take time for you. This series with a variety of different styles to choose from based on your energy level. If you’re feeling strong and fiery, choose the vinyasa class. If you’re feeling tired, nauseous or just want to stay low to the ground, take one of the two restorative classes. If you’re feeling pretty good overall, you're covered with our Hatha classes.

Strength and Support Flow

The vinyasa class is geared towards strengthening your legs, side waist, and back to support your growing baby. As you move through the class, be mindful of how the pace, breath, and poses are feeling in your body. If anything offered doesn’t work for you, feel free to do either a different variation or quite simple rest in child’s pose or a seated position. This class is recommended for those who have done yoga prior to their pregnancy. Medium intensity |  50 minute class | 80 minute session | Filmed in Tofino, BC

Back Body Connection

This Hatha class is a gentle few with a bit of heat to strengthen the back body. Take the opportunity to slow down and listen to your body. Trust that it will tell you what it needs. These classes are open to all levels. Medium intensity | 50 minute class | 80 minute session | Filmed in Tofino, BC

Gentle Hip Relief

This hatha class is a gentle flow to help open up the hips. As your baby grows it creates more weight on the pelvis. This class is geared toward making space in the pelvis by opening up the muscles. Listen to your body, and trust it knows what it needs. This class is open to all levels. Low intensity | 50 minute class | 80 minute session | Filmed in Tofino, BC

Support from All Sides

This restorative class is geared toward opening up the side waist, and is great for anyone, pregnant or not. Create space in your spine and calm your nervous system so your body and mind have room to rest. You'll be in each pose for at least 5-8 minutes. If you need to come out before that, please do. Space for Rest

This restorative practice opens up the front and back body, and is great for anyone, pregnant or not. As your baby begins to grow, it puts more weight it creates tension in the front and back body. This practices opens up both sides. The goal of restorative yoga is to calm the nervous system and give the body and mind space to rest. You'll hold each pose for about 5–8 minutes. If you need to come out earlier please do. These classes are open to all levels. Low intensity | 50 minute class | 80 minute session | Filmed in Tofino, BC
