Kai has been teaching yoga for nearly 20 years. He studied dance and theater performance, and has always been drawn to movement. Kai found yoga after seeking a practice that gave him the freedom and exhilaration he got from dancing when his career in the performing arts ended. He was immediately drawn to the power of the practice as well as the subtleties, all of which awakened him to how yoga changed him both on and off the mat. He is awestruck at how this ancient technology remains vital and relevant—now more than ever—in our modern world. Kai lives in Seattle and owns Maven yoga studio. His class style is characterized by open, dynamic flow contrasted with powerful holds.
